We would love for you to join us at any (or all!) of the following events:
Monthly PTA meetings on (usually) the first Monday of the month @ 5:15pm in the Fellowship Hall. We hold these meetings from September-May, taking a break during the summer months.
Family Work Days - Holy Word Christian Academy and Holy Word Lutheran Church hold two Family Work Days each year in the Spring (March/April) and the Fall (September). These are opportunities for parents and teachers to come together & beautify our campus, allowing us all to feel ownership over this second home for our little ones. We plant flowers, spread mulch, rake leaves, paint, build, and spend time together!
Pancake Dinner & Movie - One Friday night in December, we host a small pancake dinner fundraiser in the Fellowship Hall, following by our yearly viewing of A Charlie Brown Christmas!
Fun Run Fundraiser - This is our main fundraising event of the year, complete with extra events (face-painting, bounce houses, concessions, and more) for children and adults taking place on site at HWCA and in the surrounding neighborhood. This year (2023) we will be raising money for a new fence to surround the main playground area.
